Emily Clay

Hi, my name is Emily Clay and I am an Early Childhood Special Education teacher at West Godwin. I have been teaching in Godwin Heights for nine years, during which I have taught kindergarten, in resource room, and now in ECSE. I graduated from Calvin College with a bachelors degree in Special Education (Cognitive Impairments) and Elementary Education. I have my Masters from GVSU in Curriculum and Development, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. 

 

I live in Grand Rapids with my husband and our son. As a family we enjoy spending time outside, and visiting new places around Grand Rapids. In my free time, I love to read, hang out with my family and friends, and work on crafts and projects around my house. I love learning about and establishing relationships with my students and their families, and finding ways to make our classroom a fun, safe place for all kids to grow and learn!
