I am a 1971 graduate of ITT Tech. I spent 15 years at Nortel Networks before starting a small business where we employed 4 persons. We worked with church software and local schools. I then went to work at Kentwood Public Schools in 1995 and have stayed with public education since. I have been married to my wife Brenda for 47+ years. We have 5 children, all grown, including former North Godwin teacher, Kim Fox. I have a side business (Shafer Farm Services) where I help farms prepare for farm food safety audits. My hobbies include family time, scenic rides with Brenda on our motorcycle and working on our property. I am very grateful and excited to be part of Godwin Heights Public Schools and the technology team here.
