Mrs. Krynicki holds an undergraduate degree from Alma College and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University. In 1997, Mrs. Krynicki began working at Godwin Heights Public Schools, starting as an elementary teacher and basketball coach. Transitioning through a variety of roles, Mrs. Krynicki enjoys the daily opportunity to better understand how the school community can work together to impact student learning.
Mindy Lange, K-4 ELL Teacher at West Godwin Elementary

Mrs. Lange obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Grand Valley State University with a major in Spanish and a minor in Elementary Education. She also holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Michigan State University. Mrs. Lange began her career at Godwin Heights Public schools as an Elementary Spanish teacher for 8 years until the program's end. She also worked as a 4th grade classroom teacher for 8 years. This year she has the privilege of working with West Godwin's English Language Learners (ELL). This wonderful experience allows her to share her love for teaching and learning as well as be a liaison to many Spanish speaking parents.
Kirsten Jamison, K-4 ELL Teacher at North Godwin Elementary

Ms. Jamison has ten years of experience working with elementary students in diverse settings. She graduated from Grand Valley University in 2004 with a teaching degree in K-12 Physical Education and Elementary Education. She taught 3rd grade as a Title 1 teacher for a year, then taught first grade for nine years. During her time as a first grade teacher, Kirsten was also the Athletic Director in the middle school for almost two years. She has coached middle school cross country, soccer and volleyball. In the summer of 2013, Kirsten graduated from Grand Valley University with a Master's Degree in Education, with a K-12 TESOL(Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) endorsement. Kirsten is very grateful to work with students in the classroom and in sports. She is very excited to be working with students and parents at North Godwin!
Pa Mardis, 5-8 ELL Teacher at Godwin Middle School

Mrs. Mardis obtained her Bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University with a major in Elementary Education. She holds a Master’s in Education degree with a major in English as a Second Language from Wayne State University.
Mrs. Mardis has been in education for 14 years in a variety of capacities from K-8. Ten of those years she taught a variety of grades from kindergarten to sixth grade and then spending 3 years teaching ELL students before becoming a Dean for 4 years.
Her passion is working with students to bridge the educational gaps and help them with building their futures. She is very excited to be a part of the Godwin family and community.
Patti Reeder, High School ELL and Math Teacher

Ms. Reeder graduated from Aquinas College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She has a minor in English as a Second Language (ESL). After student teaching at Godwin High School in 2011, she worked one year at Godfrey-Lee Middle School as an ESL teacher. In 2013, she was able to return to her family back at Godwin when she was hired as the high school math and ESL teacher. Ms. Reeder helps tutor the ELL students as well as work with the ELL programming at the high school. She loves the opportunity to work with such a unique group of students and is able to help them with their math (which can be a tough subject for so many). She is passionate about education and her role as a staff member of Godwin Heights.
Kara Higgs, High School ELL Teacher

Mrs. Higgs graduated from North Park University with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. After North Park, she attended Calvin College where she earned an English as a Second Language minor and a teaching certificate. In 2014, Mrs. Higgs began working at Godwin Heights High School. She feels blessed to work with the English Language Learners because they teach her just as much as she teaches them. Mrs. Higgs loves learning bits and pieces of her students' native languages, and she also appreciates listening to her students' unique life stories.
Christina Dillon, Middle School ELL Teacher

Mrs. Dillon graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Science Education. She obtained a Master of Arts degree from Aquinas College specializing in Bilingual Education. With over ten years of teaching experience in the Grand Rapids Public Schools, she is very passionate about supporting language learners to grow and reach high expectations. Mrs. Dillon is very grateful to be part of the Godwin Community and looks forward to working with the students and families from Godwin Heights Middle School.
