A common question that your child will be asked in our school this year is "Have you filled your bucket today?" A bucket-filling school is a great place to learn. A bucket-filling family is a great place to grow up. A bucket-filling community is a great place to live. These are places where kindness, respect, fairness, other-centeredness, responsibility, and generosity are seen. Bucket-filling is easy. It doesn't cost any money. It doesn't take much time. It doesn't matter if you are young or old. Bucket-filling makes everyone feel good. Ten quick examples of how your child can fill his or her bucket at West Godwin Elementary this year:
1. Be kind.
2. Be honest.
3. Be a good listener.
4. Make new friends, and keep old friends.
5. Do his/her personal best.
6. Be creative.
7. Take pride in our school.
8. Celebrate achievements.
9. Make good choices.
10. Give a hoot, don't pollute!
