BOARD OF EDUCATION GOALS


 

  • Expect all students to meet or exceed proficiency in reading with an increase of one year's growth as measured by the Star Reading assessment, MME or MEAP and common assessments based on state scoring. 

  • Expect all students to meet or exceed proficiency in science, technology, engineering and math with one year's growth as measured by the Star Math assessment, MME, or MEAP and common assessments based on state scoring.
     
  • Expect all students to meet or exceed proficiency on the state writing standards as measured by the MEAP, MME and common assessments based on the state writing rubric.

  • Expect all students to meet or exceed proficiency in social studies with an increase of one year's growth as measured by the MME or MEAP and common assessments based on state scoring.
     
  • The Board of Education expects each district building to maintain Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) status, thus meeting or exceeding State and No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements.
     
  • The Board of Education will strive to maintain a balanced budget while maintaining the district's high standards / expectations for all students.
